The topics we cover are:

Health and Social Care

Students needing work placements to complete their Health and Social Care level 2&3 training will be supported with placement, to provide hands on training covering the basics of caring for older people diagnosed with dementia and the challenges associated with ageing.

Training courses

We have been working extensively in social care with older people diagnosed with dementia, for over 15 years, and we run a course yearly in order to keep current with the latest care standard.

Carer support

Carer support is particularly important to us. As caring for our older family members can be physically and psychologically challenging.  We provide a support network group twice per year for families who are carers  to have a respite and meet up at a safe place to share experiences and receive group support from other who are face with the same challenge.

Dementia Awareness

Dementia is a complex and difficult condition to manage and understand. We aim to break down those barriers and highlight the signs and the meaning behind the behaviors.

  • Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults at Risk

Safeguarding a vulnerable adult means making sure their lives are free from neglect and abuse, encouraging or helping them make decisions about their own lives and care, and creating a risk-free environment.

  • Manual Handling (COVID-safe, with PPE in full use)

The moving and handling of people is a regular task in health and social care, which if not done safely, can cause serious injury to the vulnerable individual and staff.   We will teach you how to apply these technics skillfully with dignity and sensitivity.
